The behaviorism and social learning theory help us to really learn how behaviors and social interactions are formed through the environment we live in. Believe it or not our behavior and social interaction is heavily constructed by our environment. The behaviorist theorist are heavily concerned with the condition and unconditional responses of all animals including humans. Theorist even went as far as testing the saliva of dogs, but we'll expand on that top a little bit later.
Behaviorism
Operant Conditioning
- creator of operant conditioning B.F. Skinner
-his experiment was named the skinner box in which an animals would be tested within a controlled environment on a verity of behaviors in which the animal could be tested on
- this experiment seeks to test the control of an individuals voluntary responses with conditions one is given
- he operated off positive and negative reinforcement as well as punishment

Social Learning Theory
Julian Rotter
- Rotter believes that in order to understand a person's behavior one must also take into consideration a person's personality as well -her theory has four elements: behavior potential, expectant, reinforcement value, and the psychological situation |

How will understanding behaviorism and social learning help me throughout my career? :
Behaviorism and social learning will help me throughout my career of nursing because being able to properly define the "why" to people's behaviors make it easier for one to accommodate them. It also helps with know how to get certain types of reposes from the different approaches there theorist took. I feel that I will be able to implement theses examples into my career as well.
